Endocrine Disease: Dr Petroff
“Endocrine Disease in Dogs” is an overview of the importance of endocrine function in your dog. A couple of recent thyroid studies and the breed specific study sponsored by the ISCA Foundation on thyroid function are discussed. Endocrine disease can effect the thyroid gland, adrenal gland or the pancreas. These diseases can include Diabetes, Cushing’s disease, Addison’s Disease. The thyroid hormone is necessary for normal metabolism and the health of every cell in your dog’s body.
