ISCA Register of Merit Program

The purpose of the Register of Merit (ROM) is to recognize those dogs and bitches that have excelled as producers. By virtue of their ability to produce high quality offspring, they are likely to have exceptional impact on the breed.

The measure of the ability to pass on a high percentage of desirable qualities is the number of Champion or Field Champion* offspring the sire or dam produces. While it is acknowledged that many superior sires and dams may not produce the numbers required to earn inclusion in the Register of Merit, those who do have indeed demonstrated a prepotency for quality.
